Hi guys This is my first post ever so be kind .I have been looking for a Anglia I built in 1987 but I can't find it it had small butterflys etched into the quarter windows last seen Orillia Onterio so I'am going to build another one. jonny z your car in your picture has the scoop I'am looking for but can't find any ideas where to find one attached to a glass hood would be nice. Here is a couple pictures the first picture when I did it the first time The time ticket was inside the door when I tore it apart and the other I believe when it belonged to I think they called themselfs the Over the Hill Gang I think english guys from around London Ontario .I would have liked them car number 69.
hi dana, that's gonna be a sweet project. spanky has a glass flip front on the racecar and i believe the street thames is all steel. i found a link to a site that deals in those parts. spanky's racecar build is fairly recent and he will have good info for you. a few of the local O.N.D.R. guys helped with the build.
You might be (VERY) wise to do some searching on the internet for info regarding the body parts business named ShowCars (or whatever else he calls it or has called it) and the owners name too (Rob Johnson) as he may have changed the name a couple of times.
I recall reading that the owner has ripped off plenty of people. Seems the correct way to deal with him is to pay cash once you have the item in your hands ... do not believe the "sure I can make you one, pay me now and I'll send you the part on Monday" line ...
Just a heads-up. Don't want to hear of yet another car enthusiast being scammed by him.

Thanks for the heads up one of those guys . I have talked to him and emailed to see what he has almost did the visa make me one trick glade I didn't . Liked I said just gathering up the pieces . I just had heart Surgery two months ago so I got time. Heading south in the spring might have to take the truck if somebody up hear doesn't cough up some pieces they will never use . Cheers Dana

Ya Doug I talked to Spanky and his friends they got stuff tucked away but Iam the new guy up hear and not good at sucking up and they are looking for a guy with a big wallet. You know its not like the old days when it was the guys from the CSRA that had stuff or knew guys now with the net it just takes some time for what ever your looking for it is out there . Hood story is done I got a glass tilt and two rear fenders . I.found a guy that has a lot of Anglia stuff.He had a old glass front end lying in his back yard frozen in the ground it is a light lay up and rough but it is what I was looking for something I can carve up .He also had some brand new wide rear fenders I know own .He also has one of my old shells that is in better shape than mine Thinking I might own it again and build it instead of the one I have
Ya Pet don't know if I will end up with 2 still working on a price with or without my body on trade. 2 would be good and I could cut mine up for the roof chop but don't tell anybody I would do that they will start yelling at me. He doesn't sell his real good Anglia stuff but he said it would be cool to see me complete my old body I have to promise to give him first crack at it if I don't do it. I told him he would have a better chance at driving it.
