"Hi from Whitefish located just west of Sudbury, daily driver is a 86 f150 ext cab short box 4 x 4, summer vehicle is a mint 85 ext cab f250 with 6.9 diesel both with a stick. Present project is 30 model a coupe that has been hiding in my basement next to the furnace , finally built a garage so now have the coupe scattered in pieces around the shop.
I'm a heavy equipment mechanic that's worked underground in a nickel mine for 20+ years.
Welcome from another new guy .I love 30 model A 5 windows always wanted one 2 or 3 out of the roof. Looks like I would have garage envy have fun on the build. Cheers Dana
Thanks all for the welcome, hey Fordy I was planning a trip to Dorchester area in early January so wife can visit her sister maybe we can cross paths.
Hey lads on the garage envy I hear you for 20 some years I worked in the driveway in all weather types dreaming of having my own shop. Was discouraged last year when quoted $4k to install Ngas line and hook it up to a furnace and I still had to dig the trench for them and get a furnace. Then found out this year a homeowner with no renters can still legally do there own Ngas line and hookups....cost me about $600 with a used furnace. Not impressed with those fear mongering highway robbers....I'll quit here before my language degrades.
Coupe body is in need of welding repairs, frame was someone elses project will be a challenge as its has a modified jag front suspension and modified vette rear. Has 350 SB that I've adapted a toploader to with a jeep shift tower to put shifter near its original location.
Welcome Paul, from the tobacco belt of Southwestern Ontario, ( North Shore of Lake Lrie ). Great looking Model A Coupe,.. Very nice project !!
I knew a gentleman from Whitefish,..he bought a completely restored, 1946 Piper J-3 Cub aircraft from a friend of mine,.that was used for crop dusting here in the tobacco belt. He put it on floats and owned it for years. His name is Elmer Salmonon,...got to meet Elmer and his wife eventually,..great people !!
