well what a project. The cab has been sectioned so I had a lot of welding to complete . It came with a 3speed and a flat head , not sure if it is practical to use this engine. Might use a 302 with a c4 trans, either a mustang 8.8 rear end or a 9 inch. I am also considering a Chevy 327 or 350 with automatic for my wife. Any ideas would be great . Not very much info on parts for an international Harvester. I would post a pic not sure how maybe too new

First of all, thanks Carl for always editing/rotating/enlarging/posting for others the pics of many posts here on this forum. I for one really, appreciate it THANK YOU. That is a cool truck. I'd stick with the flat head because you already have it and it's not the usual 350/350 combo that everyone has (I'm one to talk). I don't know if you're going to find a flip down sunvisor for that year with a light /make-up mirror behind it, you know for the wife. LOL just kidding, love those fat fenders. Good luck with the project

you won't be happy with the flathead out on the hiway.
You can sell the flathead and buy a 302 for the same amount.
The Ford motor is a better choice than them Chev things.
At least the distributor is on the right end of the motor.

First thanks Karl not sure about the upside down thing . If I keep the flathead I would need an adapter for auto trans. Not sure how practical it would be on trips . Looks cool yes. I will also have to stretch the fenders about 8 inches to center wheels or look at other options. Looking for running boards as well. Also looking for a window actuator . cheers will look for any ideas or suggestions thanks.
