biggrin

Have had a coolant leak on the 5.7 chevy that was from the intake manifold right beside the thermostat housing. Coolant was pooling there. There was a threaded stud for a ground on the manifold bolt. I remember tightening that stud up a few mths ago. So last night I removed the stud and replaced it with a bolt washer and torqued it as well as the bolt beside it to specs.

End of leak without having to replace the intake gaskets.

Don't use the front and rear gaskets. Just use silicone. Leave a good thick bead and install. We have had no leaks since doing that!

You better do it now, once you retire you won't have time. Just ask anybody who has "retired".

Chevys don't leak, they just mark their territory. :)
