I don't think it's a scam. I contacted the seller and he claims he lost the email addy of the buyer of the car. Not only that, he has 5 more coupes that look EXACTLY like the one he already sold (he sent me pics .... I mean they really are EXACTLY alike). I bought the other five, paid in full. Turns out he's in the army and is presently serving in Nigeria. I wet myself every time I think about opening the garage and seeing FIVE awesome coupes ...... I can't wait.

Sorry if I'm not taking the post seriously. I thought the "warning" was meant more as a joke of sorts as I can't believe anyone would send a total stranger $400 without doing enough due diligence to determine whether or not (what is clearly a scam) is actually a scam or not.
You got off easy. I have a customer in Curtis that lost $8,000. on eBay 4 years ago for a 60s pickup that he never got. He went to his lawyer who told him this is so rampant that the police have lost total control of frauds like this and kiss your money good buy.
You can do what I do if you get board. Set up a phony email account then answer some of those bargains in KIJIJI and you will not believe the sad stories that people will shoot you. I once had a guy selling a Shelby in Vegas but he was in the hospital in Mich. with a broken neck. Then I had a girl selling a Camaro in storage in Washington State and she was transferred to Stockholm. Every time there is a real bargain there will always be a reason why they can not show you the car. If it were not for telemarketers and scam artists I would have no live at all. My wife cringes when ever I answer the phone and its a telemarketer.
