Air ride systems? Anyone running one?

Just wondering what size lines you are running with.  I currently am using 1/2" and they are way too fast.

Thinking of going to 1/4| lines and wondering if anyone has any recommendations otherwise.

Is going up too fast or down too fast or both ?
You can put regulators on the dump valves to stop it from slamming to the ground

Just put regulators or a restriction in at the valves.

The 1/4" lines would definitely slow it down some.
What is your tank pressure at? What size valves are you running?
Flow controls on the pressure side, would also slow down the raise speed and there are flow controls for the exhaust side too.

Hope this helps

I find it is going up to fast and have the flow controlled on the down.

Not sure about the pressure other than I believe my digital gauge is reading around 100 psi? Does that make sense?

As for the valves I believe they are 3/8's.

I bought the various parts and didn't have a clue how to really set it up at the time. I do have a leak on the front drivers side corner but it's just the fitting.

I did read that my autopilot digital controller was crap using the 1/2" lines. This was of course after the fact something about the controller not being able to set the desired height due to it not being able to read it because it's too quick...?

So on that note I was thinking of running 1/4" lines with reducers 3/8 to 1/4" or change the entire fitting.

I'm running Dominator bags, autopilot digital controller, dual Viair compressors.

Right now my leak has me constantly having to tweak the controller and won't hold a setting. So that's the first problem and then the 1/2" lines quite possibly the second issue.

This is what I read...

"Flow controls and smaller lines work wonders with accurately filling using the autopilot system. The autopilot opens its valves in specified intervals per touch of the buttons, the smaller the line, the lower the pressure allowed to pass per interval. I have been able to get the fills to go withing 1-2psi in a few installs using smaller line, 3/8 and 1/4, and flow controls. There are dump mufflers available, I know open road tuning has them. Hope that helps some."

"Switching to 1/4" lines and putting slowdowns on the dumps works wonders. I changed out to that a while back and it makes life much easier. I think the 1/2" lines that are supplied are WAY to big for lighter cars."

This is something I found on another site dated back from 2011.

I have 1/4" all around on mine and no problem at all.For the leak,is the pipe cut square if not with the push in fittings it will leak.

Yeah that's what I'm going to check as soon as it comes out of hibernation.

Depending on what type of piping nightmare you got going there it may be easier to just change the main feed line from the tank to the valve to 1/4 " and leave the rest alone if your happy with the down. . another way would be to turn the flow controls around and add exhaust restricters to the dumps like in mobsters picture. Even adding reducers to 1/8npt will slow it down on the exhaust .
