I found a 14x20 metal car port in Lowes and Home Depot in USA but non here
I have a wall of evergreen trees (owed by neighbor) and they cover my vehicles year round with needles and sticky sap
Seems strange to find car ports scarce in Province.....
this is what I'm looking for .....

There is/was a Versa Tube dealer in Strathroy. The boss at work got his first carport from him, I can get the name off the sticker tomorrow for you. There is also a Versa Tube dealer southeast of St Thomas, I had the info last fall when I was looking into putting one up for the wife's car. I'll look that up for you as well. There is a business in Tillsonburg building carports along the same line as the Versa Tube carport. A lot cheaper...but I wouldn't recommend them from what I saw last fall. I went to the factory and checked them out, they are in the old tobacco factory over there. They may have straightened up their act by now, I don't know. The second carport the boss put up was bought over at Lowes in Port Huron. We put it up ourselves and it went fine as far as the frame goes. Where the first carport has one piece 20 ft steel sheeting, the second one from the states has short sheets that over lap in the center. The sheets end up with the thickness of four corners at the overlaps and causes a large bulge, they also give you some putty (flat rope like stuff on a roll) that is supposed to be put between the sheets. Only makes the bulge a lot worse. And they leak. The 20 ft sheet one has no leaks at all, the new one has two right now that reoccured, it's going to be a pain. I haven't bought anything yet, but have looked into using 2" steel conduit for the walls/rafters and 2x3 rectangular steel for the base of the walls. Locally obtained 21 ft steel (little more over hang on the ends) so no leaks. Rent a hydraulic conduit bender for a day and bend up the tube. Last fall it priced out at $780. I'm going that route this summer. At any rate, I'll get you that info and you can decide what you want to do.
Wise Line Metal Sales is the place in St Thomas that is the Versa Tube dealer. If you Google it ,it will come right up. I'll grab the other info from the sticker on the carport tomorrow when I'm there.
Took a look for the sticker on the boss' first carport and it's no longer there. I asked if he remembered the guys name, "Neil something" was the answer. But he did say the guy was having health issues when he was looking for the second one so the Strathroy lead might be a bust. I looked in the phone listing and what not to see if I could find anything on a Strathroy Versatube dealer but nothing showed.
actually Parklane - you are quite incorrect - and I just happen to be a Building Inspector - so if it has a floor or walls or a roof or any combination of those three it needs a permit - period
and it does not matter if you want to call it temporary or portable or otherwise - it is still a structure under the OBC
now - whether or not your local municipality or Inspector gives a hoot - that's a different matter
having said that - lets see what your insurance company has to say - when the car is damaged from the so called portable structure that wasn't inspected for wind and snow loads and falls down or blows down
