My friend Mike Sietsma (seatsma) is heading to and back from the lake head this weekend. If I was better and it was a different weekend I would go but I am not able. He will be driving a red and black 94 chevy half ton, a bit moth eaten, though fairly sound otherwise and hauling a flatbed trailer. Please keep an eye out for the old fart as it is a long haul for him(almost 65) and may be a stretch for his truck. Mike is the guy with the vintage hemi dragster and the 41 hemi Willys for those who go to Arm drop and you London timing guys know him as well. Hopefully everything will go well. Knowing him he will probably drive it straight through. However keep an eye out for him. Tis a long haul for an old lad however it is definatley hot rod related!

I had to google "the lake head" as I had no idea what or where the place is. For those who also don't know, it seems to be Thunder Bay.
Posting his intended route might be beneficial for those who's area he is expected to be passing through.
Yes, Thunder Bay was often referred to as "The Lake Head" because of it's being positioned at the head of Lake Superior.
The name Lake Head was much more common years ago before the twin cities of Port Arthur and Fort William amalgamated into one city under the name of Thunder Bay.
I am so old I remember it as Port Arthur and Fort William. Now I just call it "Tunder bay". Mike broke a toque converter bolt at Armdrop and wanted to investigate the cause before running it again as he had used Gr9s with safety nuts. hard to give a route. Mike is a free spirit so to speak so he will go where he feels like. Main thing is just keep an eye out for him. Thanks everyone.

Mike made it back. At the last minute a friend with a new truck stepped up and drove for him. Mike returned with a 55 Jeep 1/2 ton in pretty dang good shape to be honest. He has been chasing one of these for several years. Looks like he scored on this one as it is almost drivable as is.
Thanks to all who kept an eye out for him.
