Started out as a event for primered/ underconstruction/rats/traditional etc. Not for the usual billet eastereggs . Then everthing was let in but only cars under the orig. format could win trophies. One partner died and an other quit. Now its wide open. That's the story as I know it.
The name of this event is actually the reason why I've previously never had any interest in attending. I enjoy seeing a large variety of different vehicles at events I spend my time and money to attend so shows that restrict entrants to 'unfinished' or 'traditional hot rods' or restored cars just don't interest me.
Nice surprise seeing the entire show isn't comprised of partially finished cars on trailers, like I pictured in my mind, totally due to the name.
Nothing against unfinished cars or traditional cars or restored cars, I just know I'd lose interest really quick if that was the only type of car on display at a show.
good job on the pics , out of all of them there was only maybe 15 I would stop an examine . But in order for an event to be a success you gotta cover a whole spectrum .
A true auto enthusiasts vehicle is always under construction, is it not?
When a person stops working on a rat rod, is it now considered finished?
What is considered a traditional car in 2015?
tough questions .. One of my buddies summed me an my tastes in cars trucks bikes etc by saying , your not old skool or traditional .... you just don,t accept change well ..77.
