I have a buddy that would still call the number posted in the auto trader years ago ..even if that issue was a year or two old
stuff don't always sell just 'cause you had an add...

and if the guy's actually car hunting then the public posts rather than just private messaging might lend some legitimacy to the post ..

on turbododge where I moderate we had someone who would answer wanted adds with offers of things he or "a friend" had...
problem was they were ripping peeps off this way and there was nothing we could do about it as these azzhats never once made a public post .. so there was no followable trail to delete them as members
