Title says it all.  There are more videos on you tube if you care to see more.  Maybe this is old news but I only heard of it today.

Yep - I was following since I have like Freiburger since the Cheap Thrills Dart. The short of it was that Gas Monkey said that Roadkill could make the rules (which they did - 3500lbs, stock style suspension, Richard had to drive) and then Gas Monkey cheated hard. 2800lb, back halved, Dart with Aaron driving. Roadkill was still game to race even with the cheating, and actually wasn't very far behind the purpose built, unstreetable, race car.

Then Gas Monkey pulled the reality TV card and said Roadkill could not show the race or even mention the results, or they would be sued. As Freiburger probably would have said "It was ungood".

I thought Richard Rawlings was smarter than to piss off the Editor of the largest Hot Rodding magazine in the world, but apparently not.

Most reality show guys turn into *******s after the first million bucks. That's the nice thing about the Canadian shows ... there's just no way they'll ever become a millionaire from it and it keeps them grounded.

Never liked Gas Monkey always watch Roadkill but the sponsors will turn the show into the same reality crap soon enough.

Wow, sure doesn't look like much of a shutdown area at that "track".

They should have had stop lights instead of pylons .....be just like the old days running stop light to stop light ....not that I ever did , of course .

I love roadkill. I watch Gas monkey because I do like some of the cars he builds. I tune out most of the reality bs and Rawlings is a used car salesman, but I will give him credit. He's good at it and knows how to market his brand.
I've been following this from the Roadkill side since the start and I just watched the gas monkey show. The reality bs really shows through, they twisted the timeline around to suit their needs. If you believe GM they were already building a hellcat full on drag car before they even knew the rules or what kind of race it was going to be. General mayhem would be just as happy on a dirt course as a drag strip.

This was an interesting little contest. I watched it from both shows point of view and that was a cool comparison. Looks like both sides called in outside help for there builds. I think Gas Monkey had by far the most to lose on this deal but both side seemed to have fun. A fun waste of time, better than most. Ed
