I put a question on the tech forum about antifreeze. Got some good replies, thank you. I was unable to access more than half of them. Still getting email notification on people replying but when I click on them to see them they are not on the forum page. People tried to help me access them with numerous suggestions once again thanks, but I had no luck in viewing them on the forum page. Can't figure out what I need to do to see them?
My suggestion......Why doesn't the form reconfigure their system so they automatically are visable to read, on the forum page?
If your logged in there should be no reason why you can't access your pm's under user details .. in the antifreeze tread you said you can't access , settings... Harry may need to reset your account because there is some type of conflict there. when you log in new message notification will pop up in the header bar if its working right.... I don't think yours is.

Here is a question I am going to throw out to readers. I have a 1969 Chevy 327 motor, it has an iron block and heads, the water pump is aluminum, and the radiator is copper. What are the opinions on the different types of antifreeze to use here, and why? What is the difference in using the pink GM Dex Cool as opposed to the green Prestone? I would prefer this time to use an extended life antifreeze so you don't have to change it as often. This is in a low annual mileage winter stored situation. Thanks for any help and opinions offered.
I won't put Dex cool in anything, I think it's worst crap ever made. I would probably buy Peak or another good name brand that's compatible with aluminum.

I agree with the above statement.
As for what do I use? Prestone from Canadian Tire (last time I bought).
As for possible issues with aluminum parts, I added a (jeeze, not sure I'll get this correct) sacrificial anode to the system in one of my cars (it dangled inside the rad, from the rad cap). Supposedly, this anode thing gets "eaten" before your aluminum parts do. Just an FYI, I had a VERY expensive aluminum rad and aluminum intake on that car, also I had aluminum heads and aluminum intake on another that did not have a sacrificial anode and had no problems with that car as well. 50/50 mix is what I went with.
Thanks for your replies. Question: I got numerous replies seems, but after the the first page filled up with replies on the forum page I was unable to access them. How do you do this? what do you click on to see the other replies?

Im having a hard time figuring out what the hell your talking about Unless people are using PM's to disclose to you their anti freeze fetish ........ If so below the last post you will see 1-5 on the right hand corner... hit Next and 5-10 will come up.
Slim, no 1-5 or 5-10 in the lower right corner of any of my replies. Anyone else have problems retieving all the replies that come on their email when they attempt to get them?
I take it your clicking on "user details" black header bar ? they should show up on that page below the white board. at the bottom of messages it should show this
Received lots of replies but still unable to access them after the first 5 or 6. People offered suggestions on how to, (thanks)but still no luck in getting them. Someone please explain how to get them in detail. I am not doing something right................. Can't access "Settings" it won't let me, says I am not authorized?
Just happened upon this, and I just want to say thanks. I think I figured out why I was blowing head gaskets in my sled, along with other coolant leaks for no reasonable explanation.
