Yep, I agree.  Replace the king with a bunk bed and downsizing that room should be easy.  I'm betting the wife will be a bit more interested in accepting the new design.  If you do the kitchen up nice, she might even visit you every second week or so ........ with her attorney ....... at least until the divorce is finalized. wink

It's pretty simple...just add a 3X4 laundry room and she should be happy!

I can see the problem... not enough space for benches or equipment along the sides

I'd say no way too

my garage had almost 4 feet from the edge of the front door to the corner of the building - once you get used to that others seem lacking

If you got an outhouse you'd have room for the compressor.

You can compromise to make her happy and put the compressor over the toilet.

I would insulate around the compressor for noise... or you'll never hear the end of it from her!

That's pretty valuable floorspace there, why not elevate that plan into a loft? That's what I'd do.

....Of course, I'd also just drive a mobile home in there for the winter and park it outside the shop in spring summer and fall too, so my standards are fairly low. Simple and versitile and you can tow the race car to the track too!

You guys are all wrong, she is mad because the bathroom is too far from the bedroom. Switch the kitchen and bathroom around and she'll be fine. Maybe Evan make it an ensuite.

Nope. Their just all mad always. You're doomed boys and it doesn't matter what you buy 'em, you'll end up like a sheared sheep. Just nod your head and say uh-huh every now and then.

For the full 'Relationship Kit', don't send any money guys, call me collect, you've been beaten down enough.

If I was in the senate , I could claim the garage as my main residence , like Old Duff !
