Replaced grandsons stolen stepside....

Reeves red pickup was stolen Oct 3  2015     insurance settled after 15 days    Shell of truck was located last week in a " Indigenous area "

Photo enclosed is 1 of red truck and several of new whites one...

Just got in this evening from a trip to Paris Ont. area... Went with only grandson, to pick up his new toy!

His red Chevy stepside was stolen Oct 3rd and found on private property last week.. He has received a decent settlement from Economical Ins. and was "missing his truck"

He found, though a truck website, a replacement.. White short box stepside, 6.0L with long tube headers, "built" 4L60 trans, lowered 6/8 inches 4:10 gears with 20 inch rims and new tires.. Complete Denali leather interior with all options. Viper security system with remote start, and HD hood with SS front bumper cover and matching rear roll pan

Reeve was excited to nausea, but when we saw it ...well, he's very excited...

Seller was a nice young man, who obviously was very attached to the truck.... and all, for a few dollars, from the insurance settlement.... We certainly made a memory....

That is one gorgeous truck Carl. He must be one happy camper. Hope it has an alarm....with a hidden kill switch.

They look like SS rims . chrome was an option . I preferred the look of the painted ones.

Very good looking truck. I hope he enjoys it and keeps a very close eye on it.

Well done Grandpa.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

That's a good looking truck. I can see why he was excited. The stepsides are very desireable and good ones are getting scarce to find. We sold our stepside and moved up to an Avalanche a couple of years ago and now we both miss the stepside, especially the wife. Good score on the stepside Gramps.

The truck has a 6/8 inch drop     Its for safety    lowers centre of gravity so loose truck wheels will fly right over   lol

That is a really good looking truck. I just read that MTO document. It doesn't say anywhere your vehicle can't be lowered or lifted. It does say there can't be a difference in height of more than 25mm from left to right. It doesn't say anything about OEM height or front to back differences. Check out page 23 of that document.
