my 90 chevy pu needs more pressure since it only sprays at the bottom ....I have new adjustable nozzles and are pointed as high as they will go. probably pump is worn being 25 yrs old but would rather use a pump unit from a newer vehicle. Any ideas ?

I had that with the '93 beater truck. It wasn't the pump at all. The lines were swollen and clogged with grunge.

Replaced all the lines and all good. Carquest #27042 5/32 tubing. I buy tubing by the spool.

Think the whole spool was about $16 or so for 50 feet ? It's also good for any vacuum lines on the smoggers.

Jus sayin

You're welcome. Another issue I had was the wiper motor. Was a bad ground and easy fix.

While you're under the hood anyway, I'd remove a wiper motor mount bolt, clean it real good, and huck a cheater ground wire to the firewall.

When the wipers stop working in a snowstorm, it's kinda scarey.

Again, jus sayin

Had that happen on the 401 on the way to work in the morning .... in the dark.  I could barely see to make it off the highway with the wipers screwed but when people hit their brakes, my entire windshield just glowed red and you couldn't see ANYTHING.

I have a weak squirter on the passenger side of my car, I'll definitely change out the tubing now, thanks for the tip.

The supernash still has the wiper motor, but it's Vacuum fed from the engine so um, it's not really good for passing somebody if it's raining. The squirter is my foot, a thing on the floor beside the high beam switch. Yup, ya gotta foot pump that baby, and it's fluid comes from a bag hanging off the inner fender.

I kid you not, and it's all Factory. God I'm old.

The Supernash is 1969. AMC must have been a bit short on cash back then ?

I've never seen that set-up in anything I've ever had. Holy crap ! It must be rare ?? (ha)

problem solved....2 things wrong......
1st was the obvious...fluid was empty ...never thought to check because I just topped it up turns out the reservoir had a small crack in it
2nd someone had the lines routed the wrong way and instead of changing it so the line would connect right up to the pump just stuck in a vac line connector and short length of tubing. Connector was a major restriction.
all good now!
