Mid 90's chrysler mini vans middle seat fits like it belongs. Look in kijiji or Craigslist you can get them for next to nothing

Car-seat-turned-into-a-toilet-seat-474x355.jpgWith the optional signal leaver attachment. I took a second look after posting and I was surprised  he was smoking in his car smelling it up. The nerve of some people with the disregards for others.

I have a safari minivan bench seat with tilt down arm rests, cup holders and centre belt. May be a bit wide though. Just fits in my 59 apache. I could send pics and measure whatever you need if interested.

No regular bench seat is going to fit...Fact is most buckets won't fit. Like Rochie said middle seat of of van or maybe the rear of a subcompact . 46" maybe 47" long x 20 wide  . you can dam near stick your head out the passenger window from the driver seat

I will measure what I've got. It is a middle seat from the safari. Like I said, it may be a bit wide, but there is some extra cushion on the sides that could be trimmed if you are going to re cover it. I'll check measurements tomorrow.

When I sold the truck, I sold it with two bucket seats from a 2005 Cavalier. They were black, and fit nicely. wonder what happened to those?

Don't ya just love the internet? We all love to help and give advice, but when someone asks for 3/8 tubing and used mufflers, we tend to help someone else. I'm surprized Rochie wasted his time.

Well, really sorry.... Clubs and forums I have belonged to before, we always asked if anyone had any spare stuff or parts..... Did i specify used mufflers? If I did, I did not mean to..... As for the seat, yes a second row twin seat will fit at 41 inches, but I have 49.5 inches. So was hoping for a bit more. But obviously you guys have taken offence. So I won't bother you anymore. Was there a post somewhere about missing members? Not surprised..... Sorry I did not fit your clique. Goodbye.

Come on Jeff. Don't be like that.

Read your post at the very top of this thread. What did you expect ? You got the answers you were looking for right ?

Grow some

I read it as does anyone have a seat that would work for him. If you read it literally it could mean anything you can sit on, but it wasn't too long ago that I was looking for a seat that I could use in my truck. I got 2 van seats for very little $ so I'm am going to try and help this guy out. I think this is what the forum is for.

just a bit disappointed really. All these years I have built and raced cars... Always wanted to build a rod, looked forward to it, and was looking forward to some help here. Ahh well, never mind. can't be that difficult can it?

Looked like Wayne gave you the answer right away, then 3 of us were playing, then Henry and Apache were telling you more options, and slim said what not to do and referring back to Wayne, then it was game on......

I don't see a BIO but I'd like to. ('All these years I have built and raced cars...' you posted makes me curious)

These guys know what they're doing, so I wouldn't get your panties all knotted up just yet.

jus sayin

OK... I'm gonna bow out of here for a few weeks to cool off, and get my head sorted.
I will do a bio at a later date, and try again. In the meantime, I will persevere with the truck in the shop. I mean, how hard can it be, right?

Jeff I have left here twice before due to what you are experiencing. Am about at that point again. Yes there is some good joking around but this is the only form I'm on that off topic comments seems out of control. I even got out of character and tried some humor and it backfired. Good luck on your build.

It takes an incredible amount of time, thought, wives, girlfriends and cash to pull off what you're doing Jeff. Not an easy task at all. You'll have to trust me on that.

Don't let my own or anybodies bad jokes/ribbing/tardery etc get you down or discourage you in anyway. I'm sorry if I ruffled you. It wasn't really intended.

Give that awesome truck all ya got. I'm with you 100% as are most all guys here.

Don't lose sleep over it ok ?

BIO comment.  I looked at almost a dozen BIO's and most are not filled out, including mine. Yours does not tell me anything about you other than "Ugly and poor. My cars are my better half." So why should someone else be more informative?

I did Henry, for a while. Some said a bit too detailed so I condensed after a MONTH.

This being a public forum and all, I'm always leary of waking up to find my stuff removed from the shop.

I've never replaced my Shop dog and I lock my doors when I hit the fart sack now.

Too many drugged up people that kill to steal these days, so I'd rather stay on the down low.

I'm in the middle of the no-where country boonies alone.

Anybody here can email or PM me if they want.

Don't be afraid to cut them up to fit better. You can make them fit you and the truck

Yep, know someone who narrowed-at-the-front or "pinched" an S10 seat bottom to fit in a mid-forties Ford truck.  The seat back fit fine, MOST of the seat bottom fit fine except for the very front edges due to the Ford cab narrowing to the front where the S10 cab did not.  Relatively simple mod, then had the seat recovered.
