My son sent me this pic and wanted to know what the green car in the pic was. I checked out a bunch of British cars and then a bunch of European cars but I couldn't find it.
Anyone on here have any ideas?
Lets have some fun and see what you Car guys can come up with. Here it is

This car is a little unusual in that the rear door windows dont have the quarter window bar for the window track for roll down windows. I suspect the rear door winsows are fixed and don't roll down. Note wheel wells are round and the gas filler door is on the left. The back widow is missing but it appears to have more contour than the windshield.
Don't believe it is a Skoda and not a Herald, Hillman, Vauxall, Humber, Ford Cortina or Rover. Looks a little like a Simca but I don't think it is a the rear Door window the gas door and the rear wheel well opening are wrong..
ya chips. That's my favorite too. My neighbours Dad and Ma are some rich Doctors or some such. Dad has one of those Volvos and an old Vette (think he said 1958'ish).
I've seen the Volvo once out here.
If the Vette is even half as nice as the Volvo.......
Some Super-Doc's that aren't in Canada very often so the cars aren't out much. His 944 Porsche is sitting in my driveway right now, snow-covered in front of my '91 rolling shed which is currently housing Carls Pepsi Cooler.
MODEL A GUY nailed it !! -- It is either a Volvo PV 444 or a PV 544 -- the 444 had a 1600 cc engine , and the 544 had an 1800 cc ( called a B-18 motor ) The P1800 pictured above went on to have a carburated 2000 cc then with mech Injection , then electronic injection -- LATER -- DON / Fleet 51
If it ain't designed and manufactured in North America it sucks,a third world motor vehicle !

Speaking of Crosley's , Barrett Jackson sold 2 yesterday .....'49- $3850 and '48 - $10450 ! ....someone must have been into the sauce a little too heavy .
The Holden is right hand drive . You can see the brake master on the right and just make out the top of the wheel . Like all Ladas it would have about 5000 miles before the speedo cable snapped because of the backfire every time you shift gears.
