I'll update this project every once and a while, So far I've had nothing to do with any work.
Just happy to see my 19 year old son has shown an interest in helping his Grandfather with it.
The car will be restored back to factory original, no upgrades at all
It's a 289 auto with standard steering and brakes and will stay that way
Owner wants it back to the same as it was when he bought it new in 68
The car as far as I'm concerned just needed a fresh coat of paint and some other minor work but owner wants every nut and bolt restored, so she's coming apart

Wow, that thing looks to be in fantastic condition.

The floors were the weak link in that car ...I bought a used 67 in 1972 and floors were bad at that point . Your's look pretty good . I hope the bit of rust that is visible on the car doesn't expand too far .

The rust is very minimal, but the car is getting new fenders and full quarters
The car is in amazing condition, If it was mine ,I would not be putting quarters on it it but the owner wants them replaced
The 2004 F150 Lightning is mine, I've had it for years
Had to pull it outside briefly to make room in the garage for Mustang

Sold a lot of Lightnings when I was at Ford ....flew out to Phoenix and drove them at Bob Bondurant's track ( as well as the Cobra ) ....as you are aware , the truck handles beautifully and I like the quiet , sneaky power the blower provides . It will dust off many a muscle car !

Ya Teejay, I've been really happy with the Lightning. Rarely listen to the radio as I prefer the whine of the blower. It handles more like a car than a truck and I've surprised a few people that tried to play around on the streets
It's certainly not the fastest thing on the street but it's fun and no slouch
Stock will run mid 13's
Had it dyno'd stock 365 hp 405 lb/ft torque at the wheels.

One of my old customers , in his 70's , did a little tweaking and tuning on his Lightning (slicks ,  changed the pulley etc. ) and showed me his time slip from Milan Dragway ....ran an 11.30 , back in about 2004 .
