Glove box won't open. Any ideas?

I've open'd the glove box a million times on my 66 Olds. Now that my insurence and ownership are in there it refuses to open for anything. I've been at it for an hour now, seems it has to be open to take any of it apart. It's not locked. The latch is obviously broke. I've tried using a small pick, and other things to get behind a push the latch down to open it. No luck, as the edge of the glovebox door overlaps the dash. 

I'd rather not break it open. Any ideas on how to get it open? It is the push button style.

Most GM glove boxes I been near have screws on the bottom of the door. Unscrew them if you can....

I've already checked that, looks like the door has to be open.

I got her, there is a little hole on top of the box, under the dash, you can put your finger through, and push the lever down.
