A few of us want to do a road trip, probably somewhere in the New York, Pennsylvania or Ohio area. It must be car related, preferably vintage or nostalgia. It also must not interfere with the Armdrop or Homer's breakfast and finally it must happen before June 23. There is a Mopar meet at Maple Grove Drag strip in May. I have never been there, but that sounds interesting. Anyone else been to that strip or have any other suggestion?
Well, I broke one of my own rules, Maple Grove conflicts with the Armdrop. When I first read about Maple Grove, I was under the impression there was three days of racing, but upon further investigation, it is only Sunday. We aren't driving 800 kms for one day especially when we have better racing at the Armdrop so it is agreed The Good Guys event in Rhinebeck is our destination. The RV park is booked.
Ido yourselves a favour and plan a trip to Detroit to spend a day in the Henry Ford museum,it is by far one of my most favourite places to go! Lots of history for anyone,no need to be a car lover for this spot! Then if you wish a couple of the Ford plants also offer tours that are quite interesting too!

I have been to the Henry several times and it always blows me away. This time we wanted to do a 3-4 day trip with the 5th wheel which we do every spring and fall, usually some place like Thompson dragway or Beaver Springs for the gasser meets, but nothing happening right now, so Good Guys it is.
