I had a good look at one of these Formula 1200 cars at Motorama. Not a lot of power but they’re a real race car and look like loads of fun for a reasonable cost, if there is such a thing in road racing. They hold races at several tracks in Ontario. You can probably find a used sedan racer for cheap but the upkeep will likely be higher. Have fun!

HI DAVID : There used to be driving schools / club racing / etc at Mosport ( just North of you ) . ALSO , although a long drive for you , check out " Calabogie Motorsport Park "-- Well North of PERTH on Hwy 511 . Quite a track !!! Our club was invited to " tour " the track -- Can you imagine throwing my old brick around a 4 mile road circuit , PLUS , it was raining !! The 250 split-six was really singing .-- Talk about making memories . Hope this helps -- LATER -- DON / FLEET 51

You can also attend lapping days at various tracks.  No, it's not actual racing but it'll get you and your car out on a race track for a fun day.

Mosport and Shannonville have lapping days (the two closest to you).
