Here is one every one should read. Who actually reads the labels on the cans and do you understand what it says???? These warnings are not there for your benefit for my way of thinking but the manufacturers litigation liability's. No different than the adds you see on TV advertising their medications with a long list of side affects.
Thanks for posting that article!! Regardless of whether it was brake cleaner or whatever,
I think we all need a reminder once and awhile of the dangers of some of these chemicals.
We all tend to get a little complacent using some of this stuff and need a wake-up call!
Why chlorinated brake cleaner is still legal is beyond me! Same thing happened to me twice until I figured out what was causing it. I had sprayed brake cleaner the day before, and the fumes being heavier than air lingered in the shop because it was winter and the door was kept closed. It's a nasty experience, and an odor I never want to smell again.

Convenience is not worth the risk...
The old gas an pail with brush still works without above effects...[leaves a mess behind to dispose of]
Paint thinners work as well ,However can have the ill effects as above...
Grease an wax/silicone remover works ok...
Sandblasting the parts(with different grits medias) then cleaning such works real well.
