I'm sick and tired of people riding a high horse because they are looking to sell/trade a 2 door car for the same (or less!!!) value as my 4 door, but get down on my because my car has 'too many doors'!
So, let me get this straight... You can't see the value in trading your $6,000 two door for my $10,000 four door because you're stuck on how many doors it has?!?
I understand preference. I understand that a four door 'isn't a muscle car or hotrod'. But I also understand that auctions and such have priced these cars so far out of reach for a young family that the only options if you want to participate in the hobby are four door cars!
Last year, I had a guy decide to tear up one side of my and down the other for suggesting a trade for his 53 bel air project. NOT EVEN A RUNNING DRIVING CAR!!!!! He is lucky I am not the person I was even 5 years ago... Trust me, you're not that hard to find!!! The old me would've seen fit to wreak havoc on you in some way, shape or form. Maybe the old me needs to make a special guest appearance.
On the flip side of this coin, a good portion of people are very polite about four doors. Even when not to their taste.
I guess my final point here is that even if it isn't your taste, be polite and move on! There is no need to be a jerk about it. It's a small community we have and we should all strive to make it the best one we can!
I find that a person that puts a car down hard probably cant afford it in the first place and may be just a tire kicker anyway. So I just treat them that way!!!!!!!!

Yes they are all crazzzy but me and you........... and I am not sure about you!!!!
You should have heard the crap i got for the price on my 72 endura wagon when trying to sell it...it was a station wagon i was told, only good for demo derbys..kijijidiots! I love the 5 doors, and nothing feels better than having the mustangs try to keep up from a stop light!

Exactly!! I had a more door 37..bought it because it had zero rust or dents on it and it was affordable..allowing me and my family to go on cruises and outings...only had 1 guy give me grief...I asked him what kind of hot rod he had...nothing was his response! CR
My attitude has always been build what you want, how you want and if others appreciate it , great, if not, ef 'em because their opinion is just that......"their" opinion.
there's nothing wrong with a "more door" other than a "hard sell" when the time comes to sell it!!! If you happen to "get" the right buyer, but they are not a desirable car for most people, other than a station wagon they seem to hold their value & more popular!!!

For years I was hung up on ex-police cars, all were 4 door "pursuit class" cars with the 440. My love affair ended one night when I squared off against a 5.0 Mustang at the lights for some fun. The fun ended when he caught up 2 lights later and it was an undercover metro car. Enjoy the car, ignore the clowns!
