The car is going to be stripped of it's fenders and running boards and is being sent to the Toronto area to have a new frame built and the roof chopped. It'll sit low once it's all done.

Started tearing it down to get it ready for a new frame and drivetrain. Picked up a 396 BBC and a 700 tranny with a 2800 stall and stage 3 shift kit.

Curious to know what the block casting number is on your 396 on the drivers side of the bell housing flange?

I guess you have a million and one ideas racing through your head...

They are going to use part of the frame ... notch it at the back and Z it at the front. Already bought my front end parts and a bunch if other crap. Lol. Making my 2nd trip to Soo Michigan to pick up parts next week. It'll be channeled and chopped 4 inches in the back ... 2.5 in the front . Gunna run the skinny wheels all around. Picked up a BBC 396 with a 700r4.

Body came off the frame. Building a whole new frame instead.

Frame with everything shown except steering column and steering wheel will be up for sale.

What are you going to use for the front end? If I had the I beam when I did mine. I would have used it instead of the mustang II.

Just asking, you may want to hold into your front suspension for a bit.

Are you selling the wheels too. If so what do you want for them? I may try them on mine.

Im running a speedway 4" drop axle with spring behind set up. 4-link in the back. Disc brakes all around.

I have the whole frame up for sale right now on Kijiji. I'd like to see it all together. If it doesnt sell i may keep it for another project.

Those panels are fancy too , is that done with bead roller ? How many tries to make them ? Any color in mind for the car ?
And imho no chop is good decision.

All the panels were done on a bead roller by the guy who built my frame. The car is staying the way it is ... no body repairs or paint. Once the car is clean , the paint has a shine to it.

Right decision on the top chop!!! leave it the way it is!!! doing a great job on it. 66 BBC is a good choice too, nothing but a PCV valve& closed air filter needed for roadside Emissions stop?? But you guys up north really don't have to worry about that, do you????

The interior is great, the workmanship is over the top and the car really needed the big block. I certainly wouldn't call it a Rat Rod but rather a great channeled sedan. Have you sat in it and taken a side shot with you in it. I think the car is screaming for a chop, maybe only 2-3 inches. Long, low and mean. That is only my opinion but a great build anyways.

Ya it started out as a Rat builf but as it went on it's turned into more of a hot rod. Can't call it traditional because it's not and it's too clean to be a rat. Maybe call it a Tradrat Rod? Haha

Believe it or not , the car isn't channeled . It sits fairly low but not too low that I couldn't run under car exhaust if I wanted to.

I've sat in it and i like the height right now but there's always the option to chop next year or two. When sitting in it , it almost has that 50s or 60s California beach cruiser feel to it. Middle of the front windshield is 10 inches high.

To give some kind of size perception ... the little guy is 3 years old so maybe stands 36" tall.
