Audi, BMW, Subaru and 10 other automakers announced recalls for 652,000 vehicles in the U.S. to replace their potentially lethal Takata air bag inflators. This latest recall comes after Ford, Honda and Toyota announced recalls of 800,000; 772,000 and 500,000, respectively, bringing the total count to 5.7 million vehicles in the U.S. alone.
Along with the aforementioned brands, Nissan, Jaguar-Land Rover, Daimler Vans, Tesla, Mitsubishi, Ferrari, Mercedes, Mazda, McLaren and Fisker are all included in the most recent recall effort for the exploding air bag inflators.
So far, at least 16 people have died from the defective devices and more than 180 have been injured. Most incidents occurred in older cars in hot, humid climates.
CR55 Call head office of which ever manufacturer you're truck was made by. An start asking alot of questions to find out how to get the remedies required.
If your car has a recall, you will be notified.
You can't rush it, dealers have to follow procedures and can't do anything till parts are shipped.
CR55 just drive your truck, the manufacturer is obligated to fix it. They will fix it as soon as they can.
Remember, the dealers make money doing recalls, so they are happy to do them.

I wonder if the consumer will be on the hook for the replacement? My truck was recalled for leaf springs breaking 8 years after I purchased it, but because it was out of warranty I had to pay for the repair. F-up if you ask me !

Sounds like the dealer double dipped to me.

Ground pounder.... Thanks for posting the list. If my vehicle was on the list I would be contacting my local dealer and pushing for a fix. This wait for parts is ridiculous and I see the U.S. gov't is raising hell over the delays.
My Mustang was part of the recall, got a call that the new airbags were in at the dealer last winter. Told them my Mustang was stored for the winter and would bring it in ,in the spring.
Called them in the spring and they told me there had been a recall on the replacement air bags, so I still had to wait.
Finally had new air bags installed in September.
Just because you have a vehicle listed in the chart above, yours may not have a recall on it. I just found out that mine doesn't. Use the link below and type in your 17 digit VIN to find out if you're affected.
