Hogtown Metalshaping Meet 2017
Permalink

MAY 6-7, 2017

The Hogtown Metalshaping Meet will be held at my work place on the first weekend of May this year.

No experience necessary and is encouraged.

I will bring all my shaping equipment from home but we could always use more shaping stuff such as e-wheels, hammers, bags, stumps, etc.

E-wheels are extremely important and a few guys brought theirs last year. I appreciate the effort they took and it would be great if it could happen again.

I have manual shrinkers and stretchers and also the Baleigh power shrinker/stretcher to play with. We have enough TIG welders so we're OK there.

BBQ lunch will be served both days.
Both days we will get started at 9:00 AM and run until everyone's burned out.

The meet will be held in the Markham Road/Finch Avenue area in Scarborough. (Toronto)

If you have a large project let me know as the time gets closer, I can see if we can have enough space for everything.
We have plenty of space for doors, hoods, fenders etc, so bring them on.

If you wish to attend please reply to this thread so I have an idea of how many are coming.

2721 Markham Rd. #25
Scarborough, ON M1X 1L5

Thanks,

Hi: I have a 1978 El Camino and I want to modify the hood by making a cowl induction for it
If I bring the hood and a cardbd template and steel is this something I could get some help with?
Thanks Robt

We could probably give you some guidance/help but you would be doing the hands on work.

Bring everything along if you want.

Just let me know beforehand please.

Bump.

I understand everyone is going to Lindsay or Stirling.

I have been thinking of moving the Meet to the fall.
It may be possible that there will be a second informal meet this fall to kick it off.

Are any of those who are going to the swap meets that can't make it, interested in attending, if it was in October some time?

Pugsy - you will likely get a better response if you start a new thread as those going to the swap meets aren't too likely to revisit this thread.

Thanks Paul.

I will do it after this meet to avoid any confusion.

Sorry, I have a ESA electrical inspection on Monday and we are still not ready. Worked today and will be at it all day Sunday. Didn't get to the swap and I'm really upset at missing the opportunity that you are providing.
