Sorry Kruzr haven't been on this forum much lately so didn't see your post earlier. Hope you solved the problem already but if not I had a similar problem and finally broke the key off when temps dropped into the -30's. On my truck it was the ignition switch located on the lower portion of the steering column had become really stiff.
