Looking to buy a 1954 Ford Customline 2 door post, or a 1955 Ford Fairlane / Victoria 2 door post or hardtop. Either vehicle, preferably with upgraded engine & transmission ( 289 / 302 Ford / not necessary that engine be hot rodded but ok if it is ).
Must be turnkey,- good straight and solid body - decent / acceptable paint - prefer original bench seats - not looking for vehicle that is blessed with bucket seats,..lake pipes,..dummy spots,...fancy wheels etc. - The more original that it looks inside and out the better - Cash in hand X $100.00 Bills. Thank You.
<<< maybe I could borrow it as a tow vehicle for the Bantam. >>>,...LOL,...that would sure cause some heads to turn Warren !! I seen that little wagon posted on Kijiji a couple nights ago,...they are definitely getting pretty rare. Haven't seen any posted for sale before that I remember,..and most certain I haven't seen any on the highways. Looks pretty decent in the pics.
Sight unseen,..what's your opinion on the price he has quoted ??,..sounds like he has stuffed some $$$ into it. I'm looking for something for my wife to drive to cruise nights,..I sold the '62 Chevy Biscayne, she refused to drive it because of the 4 speed tranny,..and she won't drive my Ford Escape because she has a problem with the visibility it affords,..so no damn sense of me even thinking about the '55 wagon,..she probably wouldn't drive it either. I should never have sold the '54 Ford,..
I would contact Parklane. John sold one to a fellow in BC last year. I don't know if this is the parklane model, but it is really one of the most beautiful two doors ever made and only for two years I believe.
Warren.......... the Parklane was only available in 56. Bet the guy will take $25k, and you couldn't built it for that. The guy that bought mine had over $10k into it, an the thing it really had going for it was that it was 100% complete, and was very solid, minus engine/trans.
Wayne changes cars, like I change underwear, and maybe, more often.

LOL,..Variety is the spice of life John,...I just have the urge to try them all out,..:>) :>) I have come across a number of various model Fords for sale (everything from 1949 to '56 - Good, Bad and Ugly ), most of them still sporting the old, " Y " block / flattie engines and trannys,..not a big fan of either,...I made steel smelter material out of a few of them back in the day with very little effort at all,..along with the tranny's.
I can't believe the prices the owners are putting on some of the '55 / '56 Crown Victoria's,....2 of which I checked out and both were definitely in need of a total restoration, ( from the frame up ),...and the one C V wouldn't even make a good pattern for a start on a restoration. The nice ones I can see them going for the tall dollars that the owners are asking,..but $25,500.00 for a vehicle that needs a total resto including drive train, is a bit out to lunch in my opinion. You sold a '56 Park Lane for $10K, that was next to mint, and worth every penny from what I seen of it, a far cry from what I was looking at re: the crown vics.
Anyway,..I have given up on the crown victoria's, waaaay out of my league,. ( I checked with my bank, and there is no way that a guy can mortgage his grandkids either ) ..and I'm working on finding another '54 Ford, in as good condition as my last one. Makes much more sense to put $20K+, into something like that and just turn the key and go, than to put $25K+ into a 3 year+, labor intense POS,..plus possibly another $25K into parts and material, to get what I would want for the end results.
