You only pay the tax that you normally would. There is no duty seeing we have free trade and the car is made in North America. I just brought a car from the US last month and the only extra was they convert what I payed into Canadian $$$. I imagine it is the same both ways except for the paper work.

I sold my 58 Impala to a guy in the states a couple of years ago
It's much easier for them to bring a car from here than for us to bring a car up from the states
If he brings it across the border himself , he just has to declare it, no duty and he pays the state taxes when he registers it in his home state
If he hires a company to ship it, he will have brokerage fees
