You bet! It has come full circle. My first car was a 67 Nova SS when I was 16. This will be the last one for me (or so I say now) and it will be an "all out" build. It is a bit of a drive to get it though. 4000kms! LOL ea way. It 's got black plates.

Congrats.
Mmmm hhmmm, "black plates" means only one thing to me ... "rust free".
Making a drive that distance, I'd be seeing if I could combine other things into the trip like a visit to Bonneville (mid Aug I think) or some other event.
Can't wait for pics.

Actually, in real racing ... it IS how fast you went.

Thanks.
We will be making a relatively quick trip out and back but will be seeing some of the major sites. Not as many as we would have hoped for if I had of known that things were going to work out this way. Other uses for my vacation time had already been booked.
The car is about as rust free as I could find in the price range I was looking at. Budgets suck! But I will let the pictures show all that. Car is basically a rolling shell. Just what I wanted. Blank canvas.

Wow that's a brutal drive...why not ship to the border and meet it there. Can't see saving money with that drive. Have a local SNS member check it out for you.

You are right. No money savings but I get to see some amazing sights along the way with Jacob and Linda and I doubt we would ever have a chance to go that far by car again. Shipping to New York wasn't cheap, probably about the same as what my gas bill will be if my calculations are close. Anyway there is no turning back now! Seen lots of pictures and the seller is 72 years young. I was given his name by an SNS member. Truck and trailer are as ready as they will ever be.
THX for the well wishes Pete.

Thanks. When I get back, you may need to get on the bike and cruise on over to see all the junk in the shop. LOL Maybe Ben can give you a ride in his Camaro to return that very impressionable ride you gave him in that wicked Nova you had. He custom bent up his own 2.5 inch Y pipe the other day and put on a SLP cat back set up he found on Kijiji. Car sounds great and picked up(freed up rather) some HP. Not much of a sleeper anymore. He's got something like 275r 40 -20's on the rear now. He let it hang in front of the house and was in 3rd gear before he went 80 ft. Sounded awesome, I'm sure my neighbours loved it as much as us! LOL
