what I want to find is someone or a shop that can bend and flare a number of sizes of stainless steel line .. I don't want hoses , just some lines bent up
I want to make copies of the o-e lines used for water and oil to my turbo , the steel line for my heater hose and the steel sections of my power steering system
having the needed hose sections made and crimped on is secondary in need
first I need to find a source to make the lines I need using the (very rusty)o-e ones I have as patterns
What Sizes are the lines?
Also that Shelby is sweet!!
My best friend An i built a daytona turbo Z lazer..
Side draft weber's twin turbo's 5 spd..Was a very fast Ride..
My friend nor the car are no longer with us..Rip.
it appears to be 1/4 and 1/2 inch but I have to dig up some lose pieces that aren't on the car to confirm
I'll try to do that shortly
hopefully the pics attach ..
almost mint interior - there is some yellowing of the hard plastic silver interior parts .. a little yellowing but the interior is more or less the best I've seen since the early 90's as is the rest of the car
trans is new in crate - it came from Chrysler engineering/testing originally
it seems to be a euro delivery van trans with a 408 final drive and a 3 69 first gear
second is something like 2 29 and it has the heavy duty getrag internals the intercooled shelby cars got
very probably the only trans like it in north america - and I have a brand new quaife limited slip diff to go in it too
stock cars had a 3 86 gear if intercooled and a 3 50 gear if not
exhaust manifold set up is all custom - custom cast manifold , turbine housing is a .63 , stock is a .48 and it's been reamed out so that a big duel ball bearing GT/GTR series garrot turbo will fit
the dump side has been modded by a guy in Manitoba and has a 3 inch outlet
(he has a charger that makes 600+ hp at the wheels and runs 10.02 at about 146)
3 of the fastest fwd mopars come from canada by the way
( it USED to be THE 3 fastest came from canada)
intake plenum is custom made as is the -10 fuel rail
there's a guy on the turbo fwd mopar web sites that makes them
and a couple more pics of the car - not much under the hood will remain when I'm done
I have a 93 block , best of the bunch and a set of pro gram 4 bolt main caps for it as well as a set of crower H beam connecting rods and the steel crank
for the head I have the large isma valve set and LS comp cams bee hive springs (they fit) along with some other nice little bits and that's going in a very early large port 2.2 head
the turbo is going to be a GTR 30/82 DBB with a water cooled center
I'm aiming for about 550 HP
the fastest street driven omni runs the same turbo and goes 9.99 seconds with a full stock interior
I also have the big brakes and knuckles off a 93 iroc daytona R/T and the backing plates to do the rear disc swap
knuckles are drilled for abs sensors so I can run traction control too if I want
I still have a truckload of shopping to do for it but I should end up with one of the nastiest four bangers running the streets of scarborough at the very least and it should still be very driveable when not in race tune
something else I plan to get off the fwd sites is a set up that puts two chips in the car so I can switch between two different calibrations with just a flick of a switch
man I wish I could have got the stuff that's available for these cars now , 25 years ago ...
