I like the way they claim to be the longest running automotive flea market. It's only been there 3-4 years at that location. Should be labeled as the muddiest flea market. LOL

I will be there Thur. as a volunteer and will look for parts Sat. as I decided not to vend this year.  How can a swap meet go wrong where they are 95 % automotive with out the yard sale stuff. Now they have a beer tent where you can wash down your burger at lunch.
As for moving I believe AACA has moved their swap meet 6 times. With the first at the Orono Fair Grounds then Blackstock then Haden back to Orono couple of years at the bowling ally ? Stirling and now Lindsay. Same old car guys running it and have give them credit for keeping their word on how it will be.

Now there is a good topic someone could start!! Swap meets and mud. Anyone besides me at the Hershey mud fest in the late 80s. I seen cars for sale there with water up to the doors. Or Dunkirk early 80s camping in the infield where they had to bring in a dozer to get some of the motor homes out seeing the tractors got stuck.
Great idea Pete mud wrestling at the beer tent.

I went by there a week ago last Monday visiting me son Pete. There was still big piles of snow everywhere from the snow plows.

As for the same date I do not think it means much anymore with Lindsay thriving and bringing in the crowds and vending spots maxing out. I think they are getting old and is more tradition than anything. I went and helped a couple of hours last year and you never even here a word about the other meets.

Went to Stirling flea market today. Awesome weather and got some awesome deals . Met a few ppl that went to Lindsay and mentioned it was a waste of time with lots of vendors not showing up. Said it was a glorified car show.

A fellow I know also went to Stirling today and yes he also told me he also got some awesome deals there. He was saying there was a lot more there than he expected. Stuff he was never able to find at the AACA Lindsay swap meet. A great deal on a pack of 12 tube socks. A new hat that says going fishing. He got his kid a Star Wars action figure batteries included. A used shovel to dig in garden and tomato plants. He was even able to get grass seed and fertilizer to thicken up the lawn he was saying.
So I had to explain to him that there is a big difference than going to an automotive swap meet and an automotive AND antique flea market that accepts anything. One is run by the AACA car club like the Lindsay meet. Then the other such as Stirling that is run by an agricultural society. That do not know the difference in a 34 Ford coupe to a Lada I suspect.
He sent me some pictures of his day.

OH!!!!imagesQCV8W6OS.jpgimagesNSJ8UXLE.jpgsrilanka-local-flea-markets-kandy-pineapples-unnavigated.jpguntitledf.png I almost forgot he says he also got a Billy Bass wall hanger that still sings and moves

Now lets play nice Petebil

I went to the AACA Lindsay swap meet Sat. and after all the rain I was amazed there was no mud. Seen a lot of friends and found what I was after. I think I will head back there on Sun. morning also to walk around. After vending for 40 years first at Molson park on the annex. it was nice to walk around and not being called back. I ended up volunteering on Thur. and Fri. at the venders gate to show some appreciation to AACA how they help the hobby.
I here now AACA is going to host a car judging event at Auto Fest this year in Oshawa. Even bringing in a master judge from Hershey Pa. If your car gets a ribbon at an event like this it really does adds value to your car. Not to put a cruise ribbon down but it is a whole different league. Who knows your car could even be nominated for an AACA National Award and that would be better than any trophy around here you could get. You would get a letter in the mail to come to Philadelphia an Feb. for there National Convention or if you could not go they would mail your award to you.
Have a good day at what ever swap meet you end up at.
