Obituary for Paul Fernley
Paul Fernley
Fernley, Paul
Paul passed away peacefully on his own terms on Thursday August 9, 2018 at the age of 71. Loving husband of Bonnie. Proud father of Josh (Carina) and Pauline and doting Papa of Danica. Paul will sadly be missed by his siblings Charlene, Wayne (Sylvia), Steven, Patti and Ronnie and his late sister Norma and brother Brian. Beloved uncle of his nieces and nephews Joanne (Eric), Pegi (Peter), Michelle, Daryl, Renee, Andrew, Calvin, Niki, Zachary, Brian Charles, Stephanie and Lee and grandfather of Katelyn and Madison. Paul will also be missed by many close friends.
Paul’s passion and love of Early Fords and Customs began at a young age building cars on the streets of Toronto. Paul was a master fabricator and his attention to detail in the cars he built became his trademark. Paul was never happier than when he could drive his prized 1936 Ford on the open road with 100,000 miles on the odometer to prove it. He was always happy to mentor a younger generation of Hot Rodders and his mark will be left for years to come. He will be missed greatly by the lifelong friends he made in the car community.
Family and friends will be received at Heritage Funeral Home, 50 Overlea Blvd, on Saturday August 18, 2018, from 1-5 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at 6 p.m. at Rally’s Sports Bar, 1660 0’Connor Drive, Toronto, M4A 2R4. We encourage you to drive your cars/bikes in memory of Paul.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Toronto Humane Society or to a charity of your choice are welcomed.
