1st off Merry Christmas every one

Now WTF is it with these hallmark Christmas movies ???????

Me an The Trini watched one where some chick is driving around in her " grandfathers " truck . Its a fire engine red 53 to 56 ??? Ford or Merc pick up . wide whites , truck is stooooopidly mint , Like a spotless resto mod , but stock appearing , small chrome caps wide whites , They axeually show a under hood shot and its mint .

Here,s my problems 1, they are driving this truck around outside in winter conditions 2, they curbed the left rear tire pulling up to a building in one scene , 3 , she keeps going on about how hard it is too start the odd time and this thing looks better then show room new .

Next One , a lady is driving around in winter time conditions again , slush , wet roads etc , in what you would think is a freakin 37 Bugatti ( something like that style ) and apparently it ALSO doesn,t run right , and she leaves it on side of a road , outside of town , with the hood OPEN , and accepts a ride into town by some dude .

Next One . 64 to 67 Vette white , wires , sidepipes , same bs scenario . Parents car , doesn't run good even tho it is crazy mint and looks like a really eggspensive resto . It gets left is a small town , small store parking lot crossways across 3 parking spots because it also " quit "

I,m a car guy and I appreciate all makes and models etc , and I know they are just cheesy happy Christmas movies with Christian overtones made for just the season . But really WTF are these cars doing outside ??

AND they keep acting like these cars are lemons . . AND nobody walks up to them an says wtf are you doing idiot Ha ha .

That's one reason I don't watch TV.

Are these old movies from the 40s-50s or newer? Back then, a car was just transportation, was replaced every few years.

We watched White Christmas yesterday afternoon, with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.....Sappy movie, but a real nice woody and a army Jeep. Gave me something to look at. This morning, American Graffiti was on...you know I had to watch for about the 100th time. Grease was on after that....I lasted about 20 min on that one.

These are modern movies made in last 5-6 years .  I love them .  20 new movies this year .   The red truck never gets dirty !!   these are big dollar movies for TV .  relax and enjoy .  the vehicles are probably rented to studios .     Im sorry the Christian overtones bother you

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

The Christian parts don,t bother me at all . Its just the part s where they act like Oh this old car is so troublesome and its so shiny you gotta wear sunglasses to look at it . And who would believe somebody would drive the red truck like its a 24/7 daily all weather driver lol . Man I get bad comments from people cause I hauled loads of wood and dirt with my truck

Its funny I get a different take on winter driving. Every year my customers are always asking if I sold the 55. When I say no its just put away for the winter I get a questioning look ,as if to wonder why. People are not as aware of old cars anymore ,given they are rarely seen during the week anymore with all the ins restrictions and historic plate rules . Ed

Neither of our convert's are show cars, so in the winter if the roads are dry and haven't had any schmutz dropped on them we'll take 'em for a boot.
Certainly not something I'd do with a high dollar resto......unless I had Jay's garage staff, lol.
