55 Chevy......Re posting with updates

So I posted a “re intoduction” a short while ago. Along with it I posted some pics of the 55. The car has been built on trades and sell offs of spare parts or parts not used in past projects ect.

Anyhow, here is the pics I originally posted, along with a few updates from today.

Thanks guys. It has been moved from the paint shop to temp storage. Waiting for glass and interior. I have some electrical to clean up and lots of trim to polish while we wait......
Hope to have it back to the painter within the next three to four weeks max. Hope to have it street able when the roads are clear and the good weather gets here.

How is your coming along Lightspeed?? Able to make any progress? She’ll be a sweet ride when your all done!!

It did. It needed some serious help when I got it. I must say it has been a lot of work. I have a number of people to thank for the parts they played. I can say that I have had a hand in every step. Did a lot of work on it, but it would never have come together with out the help of some very good, and talented friends.

Looks great.

One thing though, your door weatherstripping is on backward and will leak crazy.

Mine was installed the same way as yours, which you would think is correct as it looks correct. But its not. Its installed with the big end toward the body.

Thank you for that info. I let the painter install it when he set the door gap. Guess I’ll have to try to get it off without wrecking it. He used that really good weather stripping adhesive. Fingers crossed.....
