So my daughter asked me to build a box to hold business cards.....

.....and being a hobby wood-worker I obliged. She and my son-in-law own and operate Lakeside Automotive here in Vineland. They needed something to hold business cards and the doorbell "buzzer" that customers can ring in case no-one is at the front desk.

The post-card size cards sit either side of the box, the regular size cards sit under the boom and the buzzer is inside the boom with a cut-out so the button can be pushed.

I tried to mimic a 50's style wood toy then distressed it a little.

Gotta love it. Wanted a small box to hold some cards. Ask a rodder/woodworker and you get this.
Awesome build dad. Only the best for our kids. Ed

could make a pretty neat cover for the doorbell on the wall , thinking old time-ie fire station...

not to criticize but I was thinking the customers might spend a while just lookin' at it ... before they see the bell

- you've given them a lot to take in ...

maybe a matching green "BELL" truck ...??

Yeah, a Bell truck is possible.....actually, anything is possible. Like I used to tell one of my bosses " nothing is foolproof - to a sufficiently talented fool".....but it has to wait until after Thanksgiving, too much outdoor stuff to do. Thanks for the compliments though.
