image.jpegwe pick this up next weekend, has hood, grille surround, rolling chassis with motor and gearbox. This is for my daughter in law.

looking for a straight six to drop in. She wants to cruise with the kids in back. My sons '30 model,A is not kid friendly, nor is my prefect!

Look at the V6 out of an S-10. Short, light, and plenty of power. You would have to stretch the hood to run a straight 6 and then the proportions get out of whack. We did a "T" sedan way back when and used a Datsun 4 banger and 4 speed. Worked out great and sounded like the original T motor.

good logic on the v6 rochie vs an inline. maybe something in the ford line of eco/boost, maybe.

I would be a fan of a V 6 myself. You can get a lot of horses out of one of them Chevvy 4.3 V6 engines. Even smaller would be the 2.8.

best yet a 2.3 turbo motor ... and it's matching 5 speed trans

40 mpg to boot too and way way more motor than a V6
