Funny you mention this cause I dug out some of my old kits and went with the Nomad as well
The chasis is the gasser the colour is kandy red . Decals to follow if I can find a good sheet.
The decals don't age as well as the plastic. So many cool colours available now. The local hardware
all have some wild new artsy flats and some really cool gloses. Have fun and don't snif the glue. Ed
yeah , that old orange paint on that nomad was sweet and gave me the craving to build this when I saw it
maybe yellow ? ..but with no black - way to much house dust .. black wouldn't even get finished before it looks old
or a chrome green ,, nice and bright but not to light a shade -in a rattle can that may be hard to find
I SOoo miss the old canadian tire store at mccowan rd and sheppard ave with it's mile long touch up paint section
man .. that WAS awesome in it's day as a model builder
I can lay down some really nice gold paint jobs too - seems a colour that works well for me
lol actually I should get some glue and assemble my 29 ford truck - phone booth style it's finished except needing assembly and a drivetrain from a 2.3 turbo mustang SVO kit I never got around to buying...THE truck I'd like to build for real actually ...
it's the old Revel kit from the 60's I suppose ..reissued in the 80's , paint came out so nice a buddy swore I didn't paint it
I hadda show him the box and the bits left over before he realized he wasn't looking at metallic gold plastic LOL
I paint so thin with a rattle can the swirl marks in the plastic show through my primer and the first or second coat of colour too ...USUALLY
the Revel anglia is an awesome kit too it's small so adding details can get to the OCD easily - mine probably weighed 3-4 pounds before it exploded when I accidentally dropped it on the basement floor
yeah ..missed the carpet ..
