Convert Gm computer controlled transmissions to full manual control. Works like a full manual valve body and retains engine braking.
Also available "auto" lock up of converter in 4th gear. I can build units with auto/manual lockup and an indicator light .

"Sloppy transbrake available on 4L80e.

Prices start at $80; will ship for + $20

Hi Shawn
This has me confused but interested. It will take my auto trans and make it a manual trans. Does it then use a clutch and shiftier? Will it work on a 4L75e. I am told that is what is in my donor truck.

The purpose of the controller is so you retrofit a 4l80/85e or 4l60/65/70/75e into an older muscle car or hot rod without needing a ecu/pcm. This will allow you to install one of these trans to an older carbed engine.
The controller converts electronic control to manual using the shifter. No clutch needed, works much like a manual valve body kit.
Converter can be locked up with a toggle switch or I can build in auto lock up .

It works just like a 4 speed without the clutch. Instead of the electronic computer selecting shift points you have to manually shift each gear up and down. The gear you are in is the gear you are in. All the fun of a 4 speed without all the clutch work. I had mine built this way because i can't use my left foot for clutching. I went with the 4l80 in my Nova because I wanted OD and a beefier trans that could stand up to 600hp abuse on the street and it worked beautifully for my needs. Did a lot of research on 700R's and other OD trans options but you really had spend money to BUILD them up internally to handle the HP. Also saved on not having to buy the computer controller. Only thing you have to watch is shifting down into 1st gear make sure you are going less than 3 mph or you will lock up the rear wheels and chirp them. First day out with it years ago I pulled up to a light with a cop already sitting at it and dropped it down into first going about 8 mph and it locked up the rears and made a loud chirp and scared the **** out of me and the cop...lol we just looked at each other I nervously smiled and he gave me a WTF look and then a nod and went our separate ways.

Would I build it again Absolutely! Best of all worlds. OD, No clutch, no computer, fun to drive
