This lockdown craziness here in Illinois is driving most crazy. I suppose its needed to stop this virus, but I wonder how much of what we see and hear on the so called news is real? I'm blessed with some contracting work that involves me working alone. How about the rest of you?

It's real quiet out there. Hardly any traffic out on the hiway.
Not too many of the big stores have closed. But we are doing the separation thing.
Restaurants are doing take out only.
So it's not really too bad.
We just have to be careful and in time things will be back to normal.

Still working. I don't want to be, but I have no choice as I run the shop. Nine out of twelve guys walked out to stay home and collect CERB.
So, I guess, it's a lot safer with only three in the back and two in the office.
Working on the rod every afternoon/evening and both days on the weekend.

Quiet here.....My wife and I live a fairly secluded life anyways, so this isn't affecting us much it is a pain having to wait to get into the grocery stores etc, but we are really in no hurry anyways.
I was only working part time anyways and the store hasn't had any work for me being as slow as it is.....I am making more on the CERB thing than I was making anyways. I kinda feel funny about it but will take the money Justin is throwing at this thing....lol

My business is shut down, I haven't done a service call in in more than a month
people don't want an appliance repairman in there house and
frankly I don't want to be in other peoples houses at this time. The town I live in, Port Hope, is famous
for great fishing and this weekend is opening weekend for trout. The town is usually buzzing and
the Ganaraska river that runs through is usually lined shoulder to shoulder with fishermen from
all over Ontario.Quebec and the States. The town closed all properties along the river till mid March
so there is absolutely nothing, no fishing , no tourists and you can't even walk in the parks. We all know why and most understand
how bad this thing is but it is still sad to see your town rapped up in yellow tape. Hopefully March may
be the worst of it and we can all slowly get back to what ever normal is going to be after this mess. Ed

I'm shut down for the most part. Emergency work only and I really don't want to do it anyway. Getting lots of "research" time in and a lot more shop time as well. That goodness for the internet. What do people do all day that live in apartments or don't have hobbies that require a shop?

Good question, I'm thinking that the 500 sq/ft condo in Toronto does not seem like such a great idea about now.  Some of the units were offered without a kitchen to suit the millennial lifestyle.

I'm still working...when I get calls. Hot tub Service and Repair. I can go to a call and phone when I get there do the work and phone when I am leaving, Get paid via E-Transfer. I could not tell you what most customers over the last 6-8 weeks even look like. This is usually my busiest time of year and with more folks home and using their spas more than ever I would expect to be a lot busier but on the flip side I guess a lot of people don't have a lot of extra cash on hand to throw at their spas.

Stay Safe Everyone
