Engine and transmission
Permalink

Hello,

I recently purchased a 1947 Chevy on a 1986/88 cutless.

Need help on identifying the engine 305/350 and the transmission. I have attached picture of the transmission pan.

Any other information needed?

Thanks in advance.

The tranny is either a TH350, 350C or 250.
The 250 is a weaker version of the 350.
The 350 C has a lock up converter. If there is a wire going to it, it's a C
The 250 has a threaded rod with a jamb nut on it, I believe on the passenger side.

It does. I've never seen one.

I guess the 200-4R came from this unit, with overdrive added.
