At first glance, Sarnia, and that colour, I thought of "Pink Lloyd"....that's not it, is it? It was still riding around on top of the pink bus the last time I saw it.
welcome from the belleville area. i have a bud down here who has a bricklin probably close to same condition, same motor with a tan interior, if i remember right. good luck with your build and keep us posted, it should be interesting my guess. a lot of years ago i did a frame off on a 78 anniversary vette, another plastic car, and sure got a surprise but i got it cheap. it will probably boil down to whether it had been driven over a winter or 2. the vette had been winter driven and got expensive quick sort of thing.
i like them cars and they have an interesting history, again good luck bud.
I think I have seen that one, tried to catch him but couldn't get turned around fast enough
Mine was orange when it started, the sun turned her pink
Bricklins don't go out in the rain and hide from the sun, the acrylic bodies fade badly and crack...and they leak water big time
As I got involved with the Owners group forum I realized most of the owners are not hot rodders they are serious collectors
Quite a few bought one of every color (5) as an investment when they came out
They keep them in concours factory condition and good for me they have kept 3 or 4 rebuild shops in business all these years, so every part is available
As an example one guy is selling off his extra cars, just keeping the 5 of each color. In the background of a photo I saw a fender and asked if that was a Jensen. Of course it was one of 15....
For me it is about the project, so I am happy with what I have
Really the frame is just rust repair, its a Ford 351, suspension is AMC, very economical to work on
The body is shot, but there are complete reproduction panels available
One step at a time, it will take years
There seem to be only bad ones or perfect ones, I almost bought this fine example...somehow much worse than what I ended up with
