Cruising during Covid19

If anyone is thinking of cruising in groups, be aware that it may prove hazardous to your pocketbook.

I went to the source to see what is and isn't allowed.  I asked constable Cox about a run from the casino north to a few towns and back to the casino in a circle on the map.  He said if it promotes people gathering in any one spot, expect a fine of $10,000.  Yup, ten thousand.  So I thought I better pass this on.  He said if 3 or 4 cars leave from someone's house and 4 or 5 more happen to join them on the road and then 4 or 5 more and so on, that's ok.  But if they stop anywhere and draw a crowd, they are responsible for the crowd and can expect a fine.  He said that after the Wasaga Beach stuff lately with the younger crowd, the cops have been issued a 'no tolerance' policy.  So if anyone is planning a last cruise for the season, be aware that it is safe while you're rolling but if you stop for gas, don't stay long enough to draw a crowd.  Sorry for the bad news everyone but I thought I should pass this on so no one gets a fine.  I believe Constable Cox is with the Peterborough police.  I tried contacting the OPP but I was directed to call the city cops.

I should add that he was very pleasant and understood we just wanted to tour Fall colours but said they are under pressure to deter gatherings during these difficult times.

It looks like it is OK to have a cruise, but you have to keep moving.
That's not too hard to handle.
Thank you for talking to someone official.

Did no cruising but did hit the Short Hills area a few times and many of the roads in the area. Twenty Mile and a Fly Rd gives many views due to elevation changes and the Niagara Escrapment.
