Says video unavailable Randy.....must have been political.......lol
About the political, I let the thread go on as it is a major subject these days, whether you be American or Canadian. It just shows that we have different points of view and are entitled to those views. I am a pretty staunch conservative, my 4 daughters are much more liberal than me. I also have a SIL that is a complete liberal nutjob in my mind.....But, I still love them all and wouldn't try to change them.
Thanks Harry, I didn't think about the back-lash when I first posted it. This is a great site with a lot of great guys and wouldn't want any unnecessary animosity.
Carry on.
Nothing to be sorry about OP, surely adult Canadians can have discussions?
Civil discussion and debate without personal attack is the only answer.
No one can learn anything without first hearing from all sides of issues.
Stifling conversation and opinion breeds animosity and creates cliques.
Eliminating free speech is disastrous for society in the long term.
Wasn't it a famous Democrat who proudly declared ??
"I disapprove of what you say but will defend your right to say it."
If I knew you better I might ask: how did you get a girls name?
Just kidding!!
Thanks Randy
LOL, Named after a friend of my parents. It's funny though, just last night my wife and I watched Hit and Run. Tom Arnold plays a bumbling Protective Service Agent......named Randy. In My Name is Earl, Earl's goofy brother is named Randy. I know there's a couple other movies where the dolt character is named Randy. F#ck Hollywood, we Randy's of the world need to stand united. It's been an uphill battle for us right outta the chute. At least my folks didn't name me Sue - my sister got that one.
Try being an Ed, type cast as the slow witted/kindly mechanic. Even on the
TV commercial for dishwasher soap the guys name is Ed. Guess
it was a natural that I would end up owning an appliance repair business. Ed
I once had a client couple, his name was Kim, her name was Dale. They had a blast with that. Sales guys calling asking for Dale thinking they were getting the man of the house, lol
So I went back and checked on that video - it was a 64 Galaxie being harassed by a Cortina - and you're right Harry, unavailable. Bummer, it was a good one. So let's try this one : www.youtube.com/watch
I'm sure that Studebaker has a small block in it. They came with a 283 but it probably is running a 350 or 383. They run Studebakers a lot in the road races, especially in Mexico.
This and the rally challenges they have at Goodwood , short timed event where they bring out everything from chain driven to ex F1 and also the touring class races from Austrailia ??. And I like watching the vintage trans am races also
My buddys dad is about 85 now and he brought over a 1967 or 68 mini cooper race car around 1978 or 80 , still has it and I know for a fact its been clocked at 136 mph on a flat straight away
I also like watching the Banned B class rally cars

Many years ago up at Mosport, a mini Cooper challenged a Pontiac Bonneville to a few rounds on the track. The Pontiac did good on the straight but the Mini got him in the corners. Jim Hall and his Chaparalls, etc. Them were the days.
outside of Baysville Ontario there is a forest access road .. "logging road, .. cottage 'grade" road , kinda.. through the bush
was easily passable in a dart
a couple of buddies and I followed it for 60 odd miles into the bush .. before I decided I had just a little more gas left than we had used ..
this was mid eighties.. along the road were a bunch of postings stapled to the trees.. every so often.. saying the road would be closed for , a couple of days , maybe .. for some rally they seemed to be having .. kinda routinely it seemed.
no clue as to if that still happens
did have an interesting , built outta logs bridge of substantial height along the way .. lot of nice undeveloped lakes and a hundred drive to camping spots ..so to say .. if you're into "inventing " camping spots ..
