That's a chemical reaction, so what was added to the oil to cause it? Does it have to be synthetic or dino oil to start with? Level looks like it was high enough to show on a dipstick, so it isn't a lack of oil. Could it be a bit of sabotage going on. Inquiring mind want to know!!

a friend had a cab company here back when mobil 1 came out he told the drivers bring the cab to the shop if oil was low.he lost 2 engines with that same mess the drivers had mixed regular oil because of cost of mobil at that time I was starting to run amsoil in the race car and loved it started running it in my work truck and dd.could never convince him to try it after the mobil experience at the time took me years to trust mobil now it is compatible with dino same as amsoil even then amsoil was compatible.
My money says it was a small head gasket leak, new style coolant in the correct proportion will do that in reasonable short order.
i wouldn't bet against that scenario happening in todays world. a buddy with some dump trucks had an inframe rebuild done on a mack and it screwed up around 30,000 miles due to the new green coolant and the motor wasn't grounded to the frame. it seems without some form of grounding there is a big static charge build up in the cooling system. i would of lost money on that bet also. lol
