Since her last project ( slammed 82 Mercedes 300D)  went so well and has continued to be an awesome driver, Kelsey has now

taken a full time job with John at Last Chance Auto Restore just north of Kingston in Yarker as a restoration specialist, she's also

managed to get her welding tickets completed and certified  so its time for a bigger project, she had bought a truck cab a couple

years back and was collecting "stuff" she is now moving forward with it. She is learning the art of roof chopping, I'm giving her

the odd hand but for most part, she's building it on her own. We have a set of 1938-39 Dodge passenger car frame rails to base the

chassis, it will run the original i beam axle from my 39 Ford truck , a Ford 9" rear axle and for now a Chevy V6 ( 229) and Turbo 350.

She is about half way through a pretty heavy (6") chop . I'll try to remember to do photos occasionally, lol..

Wow, all those compound curves....that can't be an easy chop. It's looking great.

There was a guy out here that chopped a VW Beetle.
He said "Never again"
I like some chops where they leave the rear window to match the size of the side windows.
I'm not a fan of mail slot windows.

We didn’t match the side glass because she wanted it to look chopped however she only took 4” out if the back glass and 6” out of the roof itself!

Yeah, tons of curves but I’m teaching her where to take advantage of the places to cut and where to get the filler pieces from

in order to achieve it... she’s doing a fine job of listening ...

Wow, that is such an interesting project. I know it will take some to finish this build, and wish her the best.

I'm loving watching this one. Makes me cry. She cuts and welds so perfectly. It will look grand ! My friend has a similar 46. I will suggest that he watch this progress also. Thanks for this.

I like what she's doing. It still has a cool look with all the modification she's doing. Can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done. I hope you keep posting pics of the project.

don't cry too much cuddles, this kid has all this talent bred into her by 2 or 3 generations.  she would of been in diapers running around handing tools to her dad, uncles and grandfather in one garage or another at one time  lol
