Has anyone used Bilstein shocks before? Because my friend said that it's a thrilling experience to drive on Bilstein shock absorbers. He said that there is literally nothing else like it Because its unbelievable control and stability, precise handling, ultimate durability, and exceptional comfort are all features of this vehicle. What do you think of this brand of a shock absorber?

I asked the same question on another forum ..I got pretty much the same glowing endorsement so I bought a set of hotchkiss/bilstiens for lowered f150's..

but I still can't answer the question myself as I haven't found the ..whatever I need, to put 800 dollar shocks in a rusty toasted truck ..I need another truck first

I'll add , where other brand shocks for lowered trucks run 40-70 bucks these h-b's were 150 us a pop

Bilstiens come factory on some cars, can't remember which ones but do remember seeing them.
They are a high quality shock.
Shocks are one of the biggest improvement for the suspension. Think about it, they control the up and down movement more than any other part
I got a set of Ride tech for the front of my 38 Chev I'm building, they are built by Fox shocks which are a large aftermarket performance shock builder. They were expensive

What do you want out of your suspension? Is it a daily driver or are you racing?

when looking at expensive shocks one thing to research is .."are they rebuildable"

some shock manufactures take their stuff back to refurbish it for you

Koni is known for that

though that also means either having a cheap set it install in the meantime or letting the ride sit until things are returned..

but "IF rebuildable" is a major question to research here if spending good cash ..

The GMC motorhome group uses mainly KYB.
Bilstein didn't do the job.

don't blame the shock, it's a motor home.  i have them on 2 cars and i can't honestly say they are a big improvement but they do work well.  we were re/building shocks years ago on drag snow machines. the cars are using 90/10"s.
