there is a fellow on the 49-54 Chev Canada site looking for a left windshield for a 51 Styline. does anyone on this site know of a wreckers near Montreal that might have one? i suppose someplace near to the Ontario border would do also.  just trying to help this fellow out.

If he is not a purist, get a Olds windshield, cuz it's a one piece, not 2 like the Chev.

Don't mean to be rude, but, I'm not sure what year you're living in. There are no cars of vintage in wrecking yards anymore.

If there was an original, the edges would be all milky by now.

I just had new glass made for the '51 Ford Victoria.

Luckily it's all flat glass.20210926_183650.jpg

i wasn,t asking for myself, it was for someone in Montreal who wanted a left windshield for a 51 Chev. I know that National Chevrolet only sells theirs in pairs because i had bought a pair for my 51.  by the way there are still some early Chevvys in a yard not to far from me so theyre still around.  i,m sure someone knows of a yard that has some vintage cars.

It sure would be good to see old tin at a wreckers. I see the odd square body pickups around here.

jacksons Wreckers in Wainfleet has several 49-52 Chevs there . I didn,t get too far in to the yard to see what else he had but i,m sure there is more inside.  there,s also a yard on Hwy 6 up towards Owen Sound that has some oldies there. I think its around Varna. I,ve noticed some old 50s Fords there and an early Olds and a Caddy. I thought i saw a post quite a while back of a yard near to ottawa area that had some old stock.

That's cool. Google maps can see the old cars from above and the street view.

I did some checking and it wasn,t Varna on Hwy 6. It was  NUNHS auto wreckers at Chatsworth. Its between Varney and Chatsworth.
