I think this or stacked 2 x 4s might be a necessity soon.

I've got one of these setups , they're incredible if you have room, for the amount of mechanical I actually do though, I'm seriously
thinking about a cement pad outside for them..

shag, how does this stand work? How high does it go? Looks like a metal frame work only. Looking to see if it works for me.

Hooray ! I can finally inhale while I work under there !  I used scrap 2 x 4s that were kicking around & I already had a bunch of screws.  I'll build a set for the front when it warms up. I ended up using 3 drills to save time

changing bits.  Still took a while but certainly worth the effort.  ( 9 rows high of 12" x 14" & I made the dimensions that allows me to mount my store bought jack stands on a steel plate on top of these if I ever need to but I don't think I'll ever have the need.

Very cool Jim, but just like cribbing, most guys don't screw them together, just stacking them is sufficient next round!

Thank you Chris. I am dumpster diving today to get more wood to cut some for the front as well. It is so nice to finally be able to move around under there. A 2 x 4 at Lowes was over $10. Insane. I have parts to buy so I'm not wasting cash on lumber. Thank you again.

If you,re looking for more wood for your stands if there are any factories nearby or warehouses they always have lots of free pallets kicking around.

Thank you 51 Styline. I already have what I found cut to size. I only need another 60 inches but that's a great idea. Thank you.
