Been chipping away at my Delray for the last 15-17 yrs. Some time in between lost interest and it sat untouched for 4 or 5 years.
I try to get some time at it on Sundays, but every Sunday.
Finally starting to resemble a car again. The fenders have been off for so long.
Also working on getting a new Painless Wiring Harness installed. Got most of the wiring forward of the firewall and under dash crimped and done. Just undecided where I want to place some gauges but it will come to me.
Nice to see you moving forward Frank. Which bulbs will be for DRL?
They are LED Projection bulbs (inside bulb, mounted on the grill) that I found on AliExpress, was difficult to find a set tat I could fabricate a mount for.
Most are made for certain model Toyota or Nissan.

Was trying to get the e-brake all done when low and behold, the intermediate cable was 4 inches too short.
I have two cables one that came with my rear disk brake conversion but that one was 2 feet too short.
Got the idea that I could make my own by swagging on aluminum ferrules.
I had the idear that using my Mastercool brake flaring tool to swage the aluminum on the 1/8" cable.
This is the final result, I think it will work after tweaking the process a bit. I will need to make the cable fit a bit tighter in the ferrule by using some pieces of MIG wire to give it a tighter fit.

My first attempt I felt that the ferrule was a bit loose still.
I cut that one off and attempted another, this time round I fit about 6 or 7 strands of .023 MIG wire. Trimmed the MIG wire once done.
I feel this will hold but heard a loud bang just as I was loosening the jaws on my vice and dam did I not bust my vise.
So I will measure the length needed, cut and see if my manual century old 3 ton press can swage the other side.
Pugsy, from my reading, the foot e-brake only puts about 60-65 ft lbs pressure on the cable. I think this will be just fine.
50' 1/8" polly coated cable at Home Depot and a small bag of ferrules cost me about $35 heck of a lot cheaper than trying to source the correct length from a classic supply shop.
